Our Daily Operations, Protocols and Safety Guidelines for COVID-19

Jonathan David Salon is preparing for a new way of doing business. The CDC, OSHA, and California State Board of Cosmetology issued new and revised guidelines for our industry. These guidelines continue to be refined and adjusted as needed. Whether these are temporary or permanent, we as JDS are committed to the safety of our guests and team members. Below are the guidelines.

Client Booking

  • No walks in are allowed at this time.

  • No multi-booking with any team member, unless you have an appointment with another team member for a different service.

  • 15-minutes sanitation blocks in between appointments.

  • Guests are not permitted to bring extra people to their appointment. This includes children and/or spouses.

  • If a guest has a care provider, she/he must wait outside while the service is performed.

  • Young children may have one parent/guardian accompany them for their appointment.

  • You must sign a COVID-19 waiver before your service.

Once inside the Salon

  • Once you arrive, text your stylist from your car and wait for instructions on entering the salon.

  • We will text you once we are ready for you. Your stylist or front desk support will meet you at the front desk.

  • Team members and guests must wear a face mask at all times that covers your mouth and nose while in the salon. We ask that you wear one that goes behind the ears.

  • A temperature check will be required prior to service.

  • Sanitize or wash your hands (20 seconds) prior to sitting for your appointment.

  • Changing rooms will not be accessible. Wear clothes that you are not concerned about.

  • Please limit the amount of carry-in items. Such as keys, phone, credit cards, small handbag.

  • We are temporarily pausing our beverages, snacks, and magazines.

  • For the first few weeks, we have decided not to do blow drys. If you like to have a blowout, please book your appointment further out."

  • Once your service is completed, your stylist may check you out and rebook you at their chair. This will keep the front desk from overcrowding.

  • If you wish to purchase a product, you can do so at the front desk.

  • If you like to handle any retail product, please ask the front desk support for assistance.

Our entire salon team is certified through Barbicide in Infection Control. The certificate will be displayed at each team member's work station.
